I know personally a very, VERY, high profile member of the F1 entourage, and he has been involved at the highest level for 30-40 years, and he told me many moons ago that if Ferarri want something they just threaten to leave F1, and also, and this is the best bit...it is all fiddled anyways to a large degree.
I followed it religiously until there were a couple of Ferrari/Schumacher crap decisions and asked what was going on, and was told the above. Schumacher and Ferrari use limited slip, and proven to have...insufficient evidence.
McClaren winning, and embarrassing Ferrari? Take them down but throw them the bone of a driver win.
Fiddled.
